My name is Grace Blankenhorn. I am 17 years old and have lived in Santa Barbara, California my whole life. In my junior year of school at Cate School, I took the class that sparked my intrest in art and sculpture, Advanced Art History with Patrick Collins. Mr. Collins was an amazing teacher who led our class through intelletual and meaningful discussions and analysis of Art over the centuries. I fell in love with Art History, and how art, culture and history are so closely interwined. I don’t consider myself an artist in the traditional sense, but I have a deep appreciation visual art in historical contexts. I wanted to create this blog so that I could put all my thoughts into one place, and hopefully create some disscussion. I hope you enjoy!
